SCHRADE OLD TIMER 15.5" BOWIE KNIFE A CLASSIC THIS OLD TIMER SERIES HAS BEEN MADE NOW FOR 61 YEARS SO YOU KNOW ITS A WINNER, THIS 15.5" BOWIE KNIFE IS BRAND NEW, it was discontinued for 6 to 7 years then brought back for 2017 AND ITS VERY STRONG AND VERY SHARP, LOOK AT THE BLADE EDGE THAT IS RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX, AND IT IS DISCONTINUED AGAIN IN 2020. SCHRADE STILL MAKES A LARGE BOWIE JUST NOT THIS ONE. The yellow band you see on the handle just shows you it is brand new.What other knife company makes a 15 1/2" Bowie knife and sells them for a fair price and they didn't use any junk materials making these. This Bowie knife will last for generations with just the basic care, meaning keep the blade sharp and you will have a great knife perfect for a Camp knife and protection something we all need to think about in todays world. The blade is in the top 3 alloys for cutlery 440 Stainless Steel and the handle you can drive over it and not break Derlin one of the strongest man made materials you can buy. what more can you ask for. I will say this is a super Bowie it is well worth the money in my opinion. 15 1/2" OVERALL Bowie knife with a 10" 440 Stainless steel blade Clip Point design extremely sharp edge all 9.5" of it and its a full tang construction so you know its as strong as you can get. The blade is 3/16" thick 2" at the widest point has a 3" brass finger guard ( safety ) And the same handle all Old Timer knives have a OT Saw Cut Derlin handle with a fantastic grip 5 1/4" long 7/8" wide 1" tall its called Brown but it looks black to me maybe I'm getting old, there's two over sized brass rivets and a lanyard hole, the Bowie weighs 14.3oz. 1lb. 2oz. with sheath which is a heavy duty black synthetic sheath with a snap and belt loop has 7 rivets and is fully stitched so it is made to last and has the OLD TIMER LOGO in the center.
